Jul 28 2011 Published by under How to

Well now that you have your iPhone, you are all set to work on its features and applications. So, if you have got an iPhone, you got to be listening to music as well. So, how do you transfer the music to your iPhone? For this, you have some minimum requirements; let us look at them now.

Requirements

  • Your iPhone
  • Your Computer/Laptop
  • Apple iTunes. You can get the latest iTunes here. Download it onto your computer or laptop.
  • our favorite music

Procedure

  • Now that you have your basic requirements, let us start with the process of transferring music to your iPhone.
  • The first thing you need to do is to change the iPhone settings, so that it does not sync automatically to iTunes, as soon as it starts. If you sync it automatically, you will end up loading huge amounts of information, and this will create an overload at once.
  • By this, you are also picking up your selected items, rather than loading everything.
  • In order to set these settings, connect the iPhone to your computer/laptop.
  • Now, open iTunes and here you will see a tab by name, Summary. You can see it here in the figure below:

Summary-iphone

  • Now in this summary tab you can see an option, “Automatically Sync when this iPhone is connected”. You can see this in the figure below:

iphone-summary tab

  • You can also change the settings completely by going to Edit and then select Preferences. Here, you can see an option “Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones”.
  • Select this option. By doing this, your iPhone will never sync automatically to iTunes, even if Automatic sync is enabled in the Summary tab.
  • Now go back to the Summary tab, and click on Sync button at the lower right hand side of the window.
  • Also, don’t forget to click Apply, if you have changed any sync settings.
  • Now go to the Music tab. You can see it below:

  • Now you can either sync it and load everything or just your selected playlists

Once, the music is loaded you are ready to enjoy your favorite playlist.
