How to Fix iPhone Error 1013

On Windows operating system, you need to follow the steps given underneath to fix error 1013:

• Go to Start, then Programs, then Accessories.
• Now open either Wordpad or Notepad.
• Click on ‘Open’ from the file menu.
• Now you need to browse to Windows/ System 32 /drivers
• In the ‘files of type’ category select all documents.
• Now open hosts.
• Delete all the lines that have ‘gs.apple.com’ or something similar.
• Press Save
• Now you can restore your device.

On the Mac operating system, you need to follow the steps given below:

• First go to the ‘Applications’ folder on your Mac.
• Next move over to the ‘Utilities’ folder.
• Open ‘Terminal’.
• Now key in “sudo nano /etc/hosts” and hit on run.
• Type in your password.
• Now use the down arrow key to locate the ‘gs.apple.com’ entry.  Once the cursor is placed in front, you can comment all the lines by entering ‘#’ before the text.
• Now you need to save the file. In order to do that press Control+O.
• Now you need to exit nano editor; to do so press Control+X.
• Restore your iPhone now.
