iPhone Power Button Not Working
News about the iPhone’s Power button not working is trickling in from all corners. Users have been complaining about the fact their iPhone’s Power button that is, the Sleep/Wake button has become non-functional. It does not work no matter how hard the button is pressed.

Some Common Problems Faced by Users
The users have started having problems with yet another feature of iPhone. The Power button of the phone does not function properly.
Some users have revealed that after they had accidentally dropped the iPhone, the Power button just stopped working. No matter how hard they pressed the button, it simply refused to work. They said that there was no problem with the button as they could hear a click sound when the button was pressed but they were unable to turn the iPhone on or off with the Power button. Trying to reset the iPhone to its factory settings at times does the trick.
A particular user tried changing the logic board but things did not work out. Thereafter he also tried changing e motherboard and the back cover but even that did not help matters.
Try Cleaning Up
One user tried opening up the case, found the power button and also released it. According to him the real switch which lies inside is clicking but the ribbon cable seems to have a small scratch. It could be possible that the wiring which is present inside the ribbon has been snapped. In order to ascertain that the other functionalities of that ribbon cable must be checked.
Ribbon Cable Replacement
The ribbon cable also affects the headphone jack, the volume buttons and the vibrate switch. If these things are functioning properly then the cable probably needs replacement. If they are also not working then it implies that the connector has either become loose or has come off the board.
